Insomaniac

Insomaniac: Lost in a sleepless frenzy. The longer you stay awake, the more thoughts arise, blending and spilling into one another, opening up alternate realities. No solutions. You’re speeding down the fast lane into frenzy. Are you asleep or still awake? 120x80cm. Oil on canvas. December 2024.

Stacie and her swans

stacie and her swans_edited_edited.jpg

Stacie is a universe of opportunity without the need for a climb. It’s a declaration on not putting all your eggs in one basket. Some opportunities are symbolized by broken eggs, representing those that are lost or missed; others are undiscovered, nurtured and grown, or outgrown from the box. Meanwhile, some opportunities remain nestled within the box, waiting to be explored.

When the reality is shaken,
imagination reigns.
Where the rules are bent,
life's without chains.

Letting Go

Letting go by Alina Lewis Painting

The freedom in letting go of our past selves, crushing memories, and bitter experiences—rising higher as we shed the weight of the past we've been holding onto. Letting our shadow selves burn in flames, even though we're still connected to them, and knowing the final price might cost us the only comfort we were holding onto. Oil on linen canvas. 100x100cm. Nov 2023.
